Apparently Tesla has now fitted a heat pump to the Model Y which it has never used before. This has helped increase its range over the model 3 and means that no other EV manufacturer can match it on m/kWh.
Tesla hasn’t released any information of substance about how exactly the Model Y’s heat pump works.
